Bikers, bladers and skaters are rolling at the Fargo Skate Park, a formed-concrete facility that is open dawn to dusk and has challenges for beginner, intermediate and advanced athletes. Four disc golf courses will keep your head spinning with a smile. They’re just part of the metro area’s extensive system of 175 public parks that cover more than 3,000 acres, including 99 miles of biking and hiking trails, 20 public and several private golf courses, and softball, baseball, tennis, swimming and cross-country skiing facilities.

Thousands of country music fans gather at the Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit Lakes, Minn. every August for one of the biggest country music festivals in the world.
MSUM Regional Science Center
Located 16 miles east of Moorhead, Minn., 300 acres of prairie, woods and a river sit adjacent to the Buffalo River State Park. There is an interpretive center and an observatory.
ND Horse Park
110 acres in North Fargo featuring a six-furlong state of the art racetrack, stabling for 400 horses and seating for 1,500 people.

Red River Zoo

Located on 12 acres of land, containing 400,000 artifacts, Bonanzaville displays the history and cultural heritage of Cass County and the Red River Valley. There are 43 historic buildings with numerous museums.
