Railroad service is offered to multiple industrial park sites within the Fargo Moorhead area. 

BNSF Railway Fargo Moorhead lies on BNSF's Twin Cities division line. Regional economic development staff can assist with expanding and/or developing new sites, loading and shipment safety needs, security solutions, access to storage on BNSF tracks or hubs, and more.

A intermodal port operated by BNSF is located 3 miles east of downtown Fargo Moorhead in Dilworth, Minn. and handles flatcar shipments of trailers, containers and other freight.

Otter Tail Valley Railroad is an 81-mile shortline railroad serving industrial parks and rural communities throughout Clay County, Minn.  The Otter Tail Valley Railroad runs between the Dilworth Intermodal Yard and Fergus Falls, Minn.

Red River Valley & Western Railroad is a shortline regional railroad that owns and operates 517 route miles of track and serves industrial parks and properties in rural communities throughout Cass County, N.D.  The Red River Valley & Western interchanges with BNSF Railway in Casselton, N.D.

Passenger Service
Amtrak Passenger Service provides service to the Fargo Moorhead area with its Chicago - St. Paul - Portland/Seattle route. Two trains arrive and depart daily, one east bound and one west bound.
